TITLE ABOUT LOCATIONS
The underwater cultural heritage of the Split-Dalmatia County is spread over a wide area from the coastal zone to the most distant offshore islands and includes the waters of the islands of Šolta, Brač, Hvar, Vis, Šćedar, Biševo, Svec and Palagruža. It is presented localities ranging from ancient to modern times, from the remains of ancient architecture found at a depth of only a few meters to modern ships lost, found and preserved at depths of over 120 meters. This variety of time periods from which it originates and the location and depth at which it is found makes it extremely interesting and attractive for scientific research as well as for recreational and technical diving.
